1. Overview
Povryn (the “App”) is an iOS web browser provided by Yana Demko (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy describes what information the App handles, why it is handled, and the choices available to you.
Povryn does not require you to create an account in order to browse the web. Browsing information such as history, tabs, pinned websites, download records, and app preferences is generally stored locally on your device unless a specific feature or third-party service requires a network request.
2. Data stored on your device
The App may create and store the following information locally to provide browser functionality:
- Browsing history — used to display previously visited pages and address suggestions. Pages opened while incognito mode is on are not added to this history.
- Open tabs — used to keep or restore your browsing session.
- Pinned or frequently used websites — used for shortcuts on the start page.
- Download records — used to show files you have downloaded. Downloaded files stay on your device.
- Settings and preferences — such as theme, search engine, and browser preferences.
We do not use this locally stored browser information to build a profile of the websites you visit. You can remove locally stored information through available App controls or by uninstalling the App.
3. Network requests and third-party websites
Because Povryn is a web browser, it connects to the websites and online services you choose to open. Those third parties may receive information normally transmitted by a web browser, such as your IP address, browser and device information, cookies, and information you submit directly to them.
Third-party websites and services are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not control how websites you visit collect or use information.
The App may also make network requests needed for browser features, such as loading website icons, search results, or search suggestions. A query you type is sent to the search provider you selected. That provider may receive the query, domain, or other technical information needed to return the requested content.
4. Optional proxy
If you turn a proxy on, it applies only to pages opened inside Povryn. Other apps on the device are not proxied.
The operator of the server you pick can see the addresses of the pages you open through that proxy. The proxy does not cover the whole device and does not by itself hide your activity from the websites you visit.
5. Advertising and tracking
Povryn may display advertising provided through Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads. Google may process information needed to deliver, limit, personalize, measure, and protect advertising, including:
- advertising or device identifiers, including the identifier Apple provides when you allow tracking;
- device model, operating system, language, and similar technical information;
- general location inferred from IP address;
- ad impressions, interactions, diagnostics, and fraud-prevention signals.
Google processes this information under its own terms and privacy practices. You can learn more in the Google Privacy Policy, How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and Google advertising technologies.
iOS asks whether you allow the App to track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites. Where required, you may also be shown a consent message for advertising choices. You can change the tracking choice later in iOS Settings.
If you allow tracking:
- the first launch sends the device model and iOS version, so the App can tell an install that came from an ad from an ordinary install;
- an install that came from an ad also sends an installation identifier, the app identifier, and the referrer;
- the value of an ad impression may be sent separately.
If you do not allow tracking, those requests are not made.
6. Analytics
The App may send usage events, advertising revenue, purchase revenue, and crash or hang diagnostics to an analytics provider (AppMetrica) in order to operate and improve the App. Location tracking for that provider is turned off.
That provider processes information under its own privacy documentation. Analytics described in this section is separate from the tracking requests in section 5.
7. Subscriptions and purchases
If you purchase a subscription or another in-app product, the payment is processed by Apple. We do not receive your full bank card or other complete payment credentials from Apple.
To activate and maintain purchased access, the App and its subscription-management services may process limited purchase-related information such as the product identifier, purchase or transaction token, purchase status, subscription status, renewal status, and technical identifiers required to associate an entitlement with the App installation.
Povryn may use Adapty for paywall configuration and subscription entitlement management. Adapty’s handling of information is governed by its own privacy documentation. See the Adapty Privacy Policy. Apple’s handling of payment information is governed by Apple’s policies.
8. App permissions
Povryn uses iOS capabilities that are necessary for browser functionality and enabled features. These include network access for loading websites, search, advertisements, subscription validation, and related online functionality, and the system prompt that asks whether tracking is allowed.
The App does not need your contacts, SMS messages, photos, or precise location for ordinary browsing. If a website you visit asks for access to a device capability, iOS or the browser may present a separate permission request before that capability is made available.
9. Children
Povryn is a general-audience application and is not directed to children under 13, or to children below the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information directly to us.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, contact us using the details below so that we can review the request and take appropriate action.
10. Data security
Information kept by the App locally is stored within the protections provided by iOS and the device. Network communications depend on the websites, proxy, and third-party services involved. No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free.
11. Retention and deletion
Locally stored browser information remains on your device until it is deleted through the App, removed by the operating system, or removed when the App is uninstalled.
Information processed by Apple, Google, Adapty, the analytics provider, a proxy operator you choose, or other third-party service providers is retained in accordance with those providers’ own policies and applicable law.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Because much of the App’s browser data is stored locally on your device and is not held in a user account controlled by us, the most direct way to manage that data is through the App or by uninstalling it. You can refuse or withdraw tracking permission in iOS Settings. For information handled by us directly, you may contact us using the details below.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable privacy or consumer-protection law.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, service providers, legal requirements, or our data practices. The current version will be published with an updated effective date.
