Web browser for iPhone
Proxy your tabs, not your whole phone.
Povryn is a web browser for iPhone. Turn on its proxy and the pages you open in Povryn load through a server you choose, while every other app keeps its usual connection.
What’s inside
Everything you expect from a browser.
Tabs, history, downloads and search work the way they do in any good browser. The proxy is one switch away when you need it.
-
Tabs
Open as many pages as you need. Your session is kept, so your tabs are there when you come back.
-
History and incognito
Find pages you visited before. Pages opened in incognito mode stay out of history.
-
Downloads
Save files from the web and find them in one list. Downloaded files stay on your iPhone.
-
Start page
Pin the sites you open most and reach them in one tap.
-
Search
Pick the search engine you prefer. What you type goes to the provider you chose.
-
Proxy
Load pages opened in Povryn through a server you choose. Turn it off at any time.
How the proxy works
One switch. Only Povryn’s pages.
The proxy works inside the browser and nowhere else, so you decide which pages use it.
-
Choose a server
Pick the proxy server you want Povryn to use.
-
Turn the proxy on
From then on, pages you open in Povryn load through that server.
-
The rest of the phone stays as it was
Mail, messengers and other apps keep connecting the way they always do.
Before you turn it on
- The server’s operator can see the addresses of the pages you open through it. Choose a server you trust.
- The proxy covers Povryn only, not the whole device.
- A proxy doesn’t by itself hide what you do from the websites you visit.
Your data
History, tabs and downloads live on your iPhone.
Povryn doesn’t need an account. Here is what happens with your information, in short.
- No account
- You can browse without signing up or signing in.
- Stored on the device
- History, open tabs, pinned sites, download records and settings are kept on your iPhone. Remove them in the app or by deleting it.
- Websites you open
- Sites receive what any browser sends them, such as your IP address, and follow their own privacy policies.
- Ads
- Povryn shows ads from Google AdMob. Cross-app tracking is used only if you allow it when iOS asks, and you can change that in iOS Settings.
- Diagnostics
- Usage events and crash reports go to AppMetrica so we can keep the app working and improve it. Location tracking for it is turned off.
- Subscriptions
- Paid features are optional. Apple processes payments, and we don’t receive your card details.
